Children's magician LIAR (Michaël Prescler) is a professional children's magician from Gladbeck who performs throughout NRW. He puts on an interactive kids' magic show for children's birthday parties, school fêtes and family celebrations – for children aged 4 to 12, bookable from about 25–30 minutes and, for children's birthday parties, at transparent fixed prices.
For more than 15 years I have been amazing children and families at birthday parties, school fêtes and events in NRW – with a mix of clowning, magic and plenty of moments to join in.

My kids' magic show begins with an exciting story that captivates the children straight away. After just a few minutes, the story turns into a fast-paced, funny and magical show in which the line between magician and audience blurs.

How much does a kids' magic show cost?
I work with transparent fixed prices and no hidden costs. The fee depends on the occasion, the length and the travel – via the contact page I'll gladly put together an individual quote for your kids' magic show.
How much space does the magic show need?
All I need is an area of about 2×2 metres. That means the show can take place in the living room, the children's room, the party basement, on the patio, in the garden, in sports halls, kindergartens, on small and large stages – practically anywhere!
How long does a performance by the children's magician last?
The show can be booked from 25-30 minutes and can be arranged flexibly. For larger events or when more time is available, I also offer programmes of 45-60 minutes. We agree on the length together to suit you.
What age is the magic show suitable for?
My kids' magic show is designed for children aged 4 to 12. I adapt the programme to the age group: for kindergarten children I make the show a little simpler and shorter, for primary school children it can be more complex and longer.

How does the magic show work on the birthday?
The show only needs about 2×2 metres of space and works just as well in the living room as in the party basement or garden. The birthday child is the centre of attention: they assist with the magic tricks and experience their own magic moment in front of all the guests. On request, I add balloon figures for all the children.
For what age and how many children?
The magic show is designed for children aged 4 to 12 and adapted to their age – from a small children's birthday party to a school fête or nursery celebration. Even in larger groups every child gets their money's worth, because joining in is the heart of the show.
When should you book the magician?
Experience shows that popular weekend dates are taken early – it pays to enquire in good time. Short-notice dates are also possible depending on availability. Tip: combining magic with a clown show gets you a varied programme from a single source.
How does the children's magician's performance work?
From the first contact to the applause, everything is deliberately kept simple. After your enquiry, we agree on the date, venue and preferred programme – I usually reply within 24 hours. On the day of the event I arrive in good time and set up in a few minutes; all I need is a clear area of 2×2 metres. The show itself starts with a story that draws the children straight into the world of magic. From then on they are right in the thick of it rather than just watching: they assist with the tricks, say magic spells and see the seemingly impossible succeed thanks to their help. In between, the clowning makes sure every moment of amazement is followed by a laugh. At the end, the show builds up to a finale the children will still be retelling days later. Afterwards I pack up just as easily – and you have relaxed guests and beaming children.

What sets LIAR apart from other children's magicians?
The most important difference: with LIAR you get clown and magician in one person. While classic magicians mainly perform tricks, I combine magic with clowning – the children constantly swing between awestruck amazement and hearty laughter. Behind it lies experience that can't be rushed: I have been on stage as a professional entertainer since 2009, perform around 400 shows a year and in that time have made over 110,000 children laugh. You can feel this experience in every situation – whether a shy child needs gentle encouragement or a wild bundle of energy needs a task. On top of that there's a practical advantage for international families: I'm bilingual and perform magic in German and French. And because the show only needs 2×2 metres of space, it works just as well in the living room as in a sports hall – without stage equipment and without any effort on your part.
What occasions can you book the children's magician for?
The classic, of course, is the children's birthday party: the show fits in the living room, the birthday child is the centre of attention, and the parents get 40 minutes of peace – seemingly for the first time that day. I'm just as often out and about at kindergartens and nurseries, for example for the end-of-year party, St Martin's Day or simply as a surprise in everyday nursery life – naturally with a programme tailored to the youngest. For schools, the show is ideal for school fêtes, first-day-of-school celebrations and project weeks, because even larger groups stay engaged thanks to the many moments to join in. And in between are all the family occasions with children among the guests: communion, confirmation, christening, wedding or the club's summer fête. The same principle applies everywhere – when children are occupied and enthusiastic, the adults celebrate more relaxed too.
